The CSB203 is a 225 A, 3-wire Type 1 splitter box for indoor power distribution. It arrives with splitter blocks factory installed, giving electrical contractors a ready enclosure for tapping one feed into multiple branch conductors in an 18 in x 12 in x 5 in (457 mm x 305 mm x 127 mm) footprint.
The CSB Series ordering table rates this size at 225/180 A (copper/aluminum) and lists the CSBL225 as its splitter block reference. The series is designed for indoor distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max using 3 or 4 wires, and 75 °C conductor ampacity is permitted. For a 4-wire system choose the CSB204; the empty box is the CSB200.
The enclosure is formed and spot welded from steel and with the enclosure and cover finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. Access is through a hinged door with a screw closure, and a padlocking hasp is fitted. The drawing shows a 12.25 in x 18.25 in door, an 11.75 in x 17.89 in door opening, Ø0.25 in rear mounting holes on 9.00 in x 15.00 in centres, and knockouts on each side including Ø0.88/Ø1.13 in, Ø1.13/Ø1.38 in and Ø2.50/Ø3.00 in sizes.
