Hammond CSB104 125A 4-Wire Splitter Box, 15x10x4 in Type 1

The CSB104 is a 125 A NEMA/CSA Type 1 mild steel splitter box with factory installed 4-wire splitter blocks, measuring 15 in high by 10 in wide by 4 in deep (381 x 254 x 102 mm). The CSB series ordering table rates this size at 125/120 A (copper/aluminum) and lists CSBL125B as its splitter block reference. It is intended for electricians and contractors tapping indoor service into multiple circuits.

The CSB series is designed for indoor distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max, using either 3 or 4 wires, with 75 °C conductor ampacity permitted. The same enclosure is offered as CSB103 with 3-wire splitter blocks and as CSB100 without blocks.

The box is formed and spot welded from steel (the series uses 14 or 16 gauge; the 14 gauge note in the ordering table applies to the 600 A sizes). A hinged door is secured with a screw and provides a padlocking hasp, and a series of knockouts is provided on each side. The manufacturer drawing shows a 15.25 in x 10.25 in door, a 14.89 in x 9.75 in door opening, an overall depth of 4.06 in and back mounting holes spaced 12.00 in x 7.00 in. The enclosure and door are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The series carries CSA Type 1 and complies with IEC 60529 IP20. The CSB104 is REACH and RoHS compliant, ships in a box and has a shipping weight of 10 lbs (4.54 kg). Splitter blocks and grounding kits are listed as series accessories.
