Hammond CN4SB74SS 70A 4-Wire Type 4X Stainless Splitter Box, 12x10x5

The CN4SB74SS is the 4-wire version of the smallest stainless splitter box in the CN4SBSS series of Type 4X stainless steel splitter boxes, rated 70/70 A CU/AL. Use it where a 4-wire service must be split in a corrosive, washdown or outdoor environment. The series is designed for distribution of up to 600 A (max) service, 600 V max, with 75° C conductor ampacity permitted.

Enclosure size is 12 in high, 10 in wide and 5 in deep (305 x 254 x 127 mm); the drawing shows 5.85 in overall depth. Per the part drawing, the door is 11.97 x 9.97 in, the door opening 10.52 x 8.39 in, the inner panel 10.17 x 8.17 in, and the Ø0.50 in wall mounting holes are spaced 10.50 x 8.50 in.

The box is formed 16 gauge Type 304 stainless steel, left natural with a smooth brushed finish on the cover and enclosure. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, and a formed lip with a seamless poured-in place gasket excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. Splitter blocks are factory installed (reference CSBL125B). Quarter turn slot latches require a tool, hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless steel pins, and the door is removable and interchangeable with stiffeners where required. The included inner panel is white powder coated and mounts on collar studs.

Ratings are CSA Type 3R, 12, 4X with IEC 60529, IP66 compliance. The CN4SB74SS includes a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers, accepts optional grounding kit CGK125, ships at 12 lbs (5.44 kg), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
