Hammond CN4SB603SS 600A 3-Wire Type 4X Stainless Splitter Box, 30x24x7

The CN4SB603SS is the 600/600 A CU/AL, 3-wire splitter box at the top of the CN4SBSS series of Type 4X stainless steel splitter boxes. It matches the series maximum, distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max with 75° C conductor ampacity permitted, for electricians splitting a full 600 A, 3-wire feed in corrosive, washdown or outdoor settings.

The enclosure measures 30 x 24 x 7 in (762 x 610 x 178 mm) H x W x D, with 7.87 in overall depth on the drawing. The drawing shows a 29.97 x 23.97 in door, a 28.49 x 22.36 in door opening, a 28.17 x 22.17 in inner panel, and Ø0.50 in wall mounting holes on 28.50 x 22.50 in centres.

This 30 x 24 size is formed from 14 gauge Type 304 stainless steel, heavier than the 16 gauge used on smaller sizes. The cover and enclosure are natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish, and seams are continuously welded and ground smooth. A formed lip and seamless poured-in place gasket exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. Splitter blocks are factory installed (reference CSBL600). The door hangs on 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel pins, closes with tool-operated quarter turn slot latches, and is removable and interchangeable. A white powder coated inner panel is included.

The CN4SB603SS is CSA Type 3R, 12, 4X and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. It includes a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers, accepts optional grounding kit CGK600, ships at 74 lbs (33.57 kg), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
