Hammond CN4SB403SS 400A 3-Wire Type 4X Stainless Splitter Box, 24x17x6

The CN4SB403SS is a 400/400 A CU/AL, 3-wire splitter box in the CN4SBSS series of Type 4X stainless steel splitter boxes. With a 24 x 17 in face and 6 in depth, it gives electricians space to split a 400 A, 3-wire feed where the enclosure must resist corrosion or washdown. The series is designed for distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max, with 75° C conductor ampacity permitted.

Enclosure size is 24 x 17 x 6 in (610 x 432 x 152 mm) H x W x D, with 6.85 in overall depth on the drawing. The drawing shows a 23.97 x 16.97 in door, a 22.52 x 15.39 in door opening, a 22.17 x 15.17 in inner panel, and Ø0.50 in wall mounting holes on 22.50 x 15.50 in centres.

The box is formed 16 gauge Type 304 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, finished as natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish. A formed lip and seamless poured-in place gasket keep out flowing liquids and contaminants. Splitter blocks are factory installed (reference CSBL400). The door uses quarter turn slot latches that require a tool, 304 stainless steel hinges and stainless steel pins, and door stiffeners where required; it is removable and interchangeable. A white powder coated inner panel is included on collar studs.

The CN4SB403SS is CSA Type 3R, 12, 4X and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. It includes a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers, accepts optional grounding kit CGK400, ships at 20 lbs (9.07 kg), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
