Hammond CN4SB104 125A 4-Wire Type 4/3R Steel Splitter Box, 15x10x5

The CN4SB104 is the 4-wire, 125/120 A CU/AL splitter box in Hammond's CN4SB series of Type 4/3R mild steel splitter boxes. It suits contractors splitting a 4-wire service (three conductors plus neutral) inside a gasketed, tool-latched enclosure. The series is designed for distribution of up to 600 A (max) service, 600 V max, and permits 75° C conductor ampacity.

In the series table the enclosure measures 15.00 in high by 10.00 in wide by 5.00 in deep (381 x 254 x 127 mm); the part page lists a nominal 15 x 10 x 6 in and the drawing an overall depth of 5.85 in. The drawing shows a 14.97 x 9.97 in door over a 13.52 x 8.39 in opening, a 13.17 x 8.17 in inner panel, and Ø0.50 in wall mounting holes on 13.50 x 8.50 in spacing.

The body is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door, which is held by quarter turn slot latches that require a tool. Hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless steel pins, and the door is removable and interchangeable. Splitter blocks are factory installed (reference CSBL125B), and collar studs carry the included white inner panel. Enclosure and cover are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The CN4SB104 carries CSA Type 3R, 12, 4 ratings and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included; grounding kit CGK125 is optional. Shipping weight is 15 lbs (6.80 kg), boxed.
