The CMC484812UG is the largest cabinet in the CMCUG series of Type 1 mild steel metering cabinets in the UG style. At 48 x 48 x 12 in it gives utility contractors, electricians and facilities teams the most interior space in the line for housing metering transformers in underground situations.
Enclosure dimensions are 48 in high by 48 in wide by 12 in deep (1,219 x 1,219 x 305 mm). Access is through double hinged doors with a hasp and quarter turn closure. The part drawing shows a door opening of 46.93 in by 47.00 in, doors 48.39 in high with each door 24.13 in wide, and an overall depth of 12.82 in. Ø0.25 in back mounting holes are spaced 45.00 in apart.
The series specification describes forming and spot welding from 14 or 16 gauge steel, with spot welded construction, formed edges and hinged covers. The enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray inside and out.
