The CMC202010UG is the single-door member of the CMCUG series, Hammond's Type 1 mild steel metering cabinets in the UG style. It is designed for housing metering transformers in underground situations, giving utility contractors, electricians and facilities teams a compact steel cabinet for the metering point.
The cabinet measures 20 in high by 20 in wide by 10 in deep (508 x 508 x 254 mm). As the only single-door size in the series, it uses one hinged door with a hasp closure. The part drawing shows a 19.00 in by 19.00 in door opening, a door 20.35 in high by 20.31 in wide, and an overall depth of 10.82 in. Wall mounting uses Ø0.25 in holes on a 17.00 in by 17.00 in pattern in the back.
Construction follows the series specification: formed and spot welded from 14 or 16 gauge steel, with spot welded construction, formed edges and a hinged cover. The enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray inside and out.
