Hammond CLCH202215BK 22.5-40.5 in Adjustable Passive Rack Chimney

The CLCH202215BK is a passive hot air exhaust chimney designed to mount to the top-rear of a CLC rack cabinet and duct hot exhaust air into a ceiling plenum (lowered T-bar ceiling). It is intended for data centre, computer room and IT facilities teams who need to keep hot equipment exhaust from mixing with the cool air entering the front of the cabinets. Because it is passive, there are no fans to power or maintain.

Preventing hot and cold air mixing can improve cooling efficiency and reduce or remove the need for additional cooling. In some applications the chimney can decrease or eliminate demand on facility CRAC or CRAH units, resulting in significant operating cost reduction.

The CLCH series chimney is constructed in 14-gauge aluminum and finished in textured black powder paint (textured white is available upon request). The top of the chimney includes a padded pillow gasket to seal where the chimney meets the ceiling, and additional gaskets help prevent whistling and air leakage. The assembly consists of an inner and an outer chimney assembly with two pile gaskets and two Monarch gaskets, and uses two 1/4-20 x 3/4 comfort grip knobs so height can be set quickly with an easy-use clamping system.
