Hammond CAGKIT1224-50 12-24 Rack Screw and Cage Nut Kit, 50 Pack

CAGKIT1224-50 is a 50-piece rack mounting hardware kit that pairs 12-24 rack screws with matching cage nuts for installing equipment into square-hole rack rails. It is aimed at IT and network technicians, AV and data center installers, electricians and OEM engineers who need a complete, thread-matched hardware set rather than ordering screws and nuts separately.

Each kit contains 50 of each component: black rack screws with installed (captive) nylon washers and zinc plated cage nuts. The nylon washers help protect painted rack rails and equipment faceplates from scratches, while self-guiding pilot point screws help align equipment quickly and reduce cross-threading during installation. Screws are heat-treated steel and the cage nuts are austempered spring steel, providing reliable strength for IT, networking, telecommunications and industrial applications.

The cage nuts fit standard 3/8 inch (9.54 mm) square-hole rack rails, making CAGKIT1224-50 suitable for Hammond cabinets and most industry-standard square-hole racks. Installation is tool-light: squeeze the cage nut into the square rail opening from behind, position the equipment flange, then drive the 12-24 screw through the faceplate into the nut. Fifty sets support a mid-size deployment, multi-rack standardization, or a stocked service kit for field work.

The kit ships in a plastic jar, which keeps loose hardware together in a shop, van or spares crib. Shipping weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg).
