Hammond C3RWT12116 12x12x116-Inch Type 3R Wiring Trough, ANSI 61 Gray

The C3RWT12116 is a 12x12x116 inch Type 3R wiring trough from the C3RWT Series, formed from galvanized steel with the enclosure and cover finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. It is designed to protect multiple wiring junctions in outdoor environments against the ingress of rain, sleet, snow and the external formation of ice, for electricians, contractors and facilities teams who need a weather-resistant wiring enclosure.

Nominal size is 12 in high by 12 in deep by 116 in long (305 mm x 305 mm x 2,946 mm). The part drawing shows an overall length of 116.88 in and an overall cross-section of 12.44 in, with a front opening of 114.75 in by 10.42 in and an inside dimension of 11.86 in. Shipping weight is 128 lbs (58.06 kg), packed in a box.

The trough is formed and spot welded from 14 or 16 gauge galvanized steel, and a drip shield top design protects it against rain, snow or sleet. A slip on removable front cover is secured with screws for access to the wiring inside. The series specification sheet notes a bonding stud on the cover and a ground stud in the enclosure to comply with UL870 requirements.

For wall installation, the back of the C3RWT12116 carries 6 mounting holes of 0.30 in diameter, spaced 56.00 in + 56.00 in apart along the length. Effective August 17, 2026, the grounding strap and padlocking hasp previously included are no longer provided with each trough.

Compliance: UL870 Type 3R (UL File E186830), CSA Type 3R (CSA Cert. LL21312), and complies with NEMA Type 3R and IEC 60529 IP24. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
