Hammond C3RWT1096 10x10x96 Inch Type 3R Galvanized Wiring Trough

The C3RWT1096 is a 96 in (2,438 mm) long, 10 x 10 in Type 3R wiring trough for long outdoor runs with multiple wiring junctions. Its back carries six mounting holes arranged in two 46.00 in spans along the eight-foot body.

Like every trough in the C3RWT series, it is formed and spot welded from galvanized steel (the series is made in 14 or 16 gauge), and both the enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating, which is why the part is listed as Galv/Gray. A drip shield top design protects the enclosure against rain, snow or sleet, and the slip on front cover removes for access and is secured with screws.

The nominal size is 10 in x 10 in x 96 in (254 mm x 254 mm x 2,438 mm), with a shipping weight of 90 lbs (40.82 kg). The part drawing shows an overall length of 96.88 in and a 10.44 x 10.44 in overall section including the drip shield, a front opening of 94.75 x 8.42 in, and inside dimensions of 9.86 x 9.86 in. Mounting is through 6 embossed holes of 0.30 in diameter on the back of the enclosure, spaced two 46.00 in spans lengthwise and 7.00 in vertically.

The C3RWT1096 is listed under UL870 Type 3R (UL File # E186830) and CSA Type 3R (CSA Cert. # LL21312), and complies with NEMA Type 3R and IEC 60529, IP24. To meet UL870 - 2008 requirements the series specification sheet shows a bonding stud on the cover and a ground stud in the enclosure. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant. Note that effective August 17, 2026 the grounding strap and padlocking hasp previously included with each trough are no longer provided.
