Hammond C3R886HCLO 8x8x6 in Type 3R Lift-Off Hinge Door Enclosure

The C3R886HCLO is a square 8 x 8 in Type 3R enclosure with a generous 6 in depth (203 x 203 x 152 mm). It is designed as a wiring/junction box for outdoor installations, and the 6 in depth on a small 8 in square face gives extra internal room while keeping a small wall profile.

Construction follows the C3R HCLO series: the body is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge galvanized steel with an extended height door and seam-free sides, front and back. The door hangs on galvanized steel lift-off hinges with stainless steel pins and is held closed by zinc-plated draw pull catches with provisions for padlocking. A foam gasket seals the door opening, the back has embossed mounting holes, and the enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

On the C3R886HCLO drawing the door measures 8.88 in high by 8.38 in wide and the door opening is 6.81 in by 6.81 in; a ground stud is shown on the body. The optional 14R0705 inner panel (6.75 x 4.88 in) mounts with the C3RHCLOPK1 kit, and the C3RHCLOMFK1 mounting foot kit is listed for this size when external feet are preferred. Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg), and it ships in a box.

The enclosure is rated UL-50 Type 3R and CSA Type 3R and complies with NEMA Type 3R and IEC 60529, IP24, providing protection against rain, sleet, snow and dripping water. It is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
