The C3R864HCLO is the smallest enclosure in the C3R HCLO line: an 8 in high, 6 in wide, 4 in deep (203 x 152 x 102 mm) Type 3R wiring/junction box with a lift-off hinge door and snap-style draw pull catches. Its compact footprint suits small outdoor wiring jobs where protection against rain, sleet, snow and dripping water is required.
Construction follows the C3R HCLO series: the body is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge galvanized steel with an extended height door and seam-free sides, front and back. The door hangs on galvanized steel lift-off hinges with stainless steel pins and is held closed by zinc-plated draw pull catches with provisions for padlocking. A foam gasket seals the door opening, the back has embossed mounting holes, and the enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.
On the C3R864HCLO drawing the door measures 8.88 in high by 6.38 in wide and the door opening is 6.81 in by 4.81 in; a ground stud is shown on the body. Inside, the 4 in depth pairs with the optional 14R0505 inner panel (4.88 x 4.88 in), mounted with the C3RHCLOPK1 panel mounting kit. For surface mounting away from the embossed back holes, the C3RHCLOMFK1 foot kit is the matching option. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg), and it ships in a box.
