Hammond C3R664HCR 6x6x4 in Type 3R Hinged Junction Box

The C3R664HCR is a Type 3R painted galvanized steel junction box from the C3R HCR SM Series, measuring 6 in x 6 in x 4 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 102 mm). Designed for use as a wiring/junction box, it provides protection against rain, sleet, snow and dripping water, suiting electricians and installers who need a small hinged outdoor box for splices and terminations.

It is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge galvanized steel with a drip-shield top and seam-free sides, front and back. The door rides on a galvanized steel hinge with a stainless steel pin and closes with a zinc-plated draw pull catch that has provisions for padlocking, so the cover opens without removing screws. Enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured.

Its square 6 x 6 in face at 4 in deep gives more side-to-side room than the 6 x 4 in model while keeping the same compact height. The drawing shows a door opening of 4.83 x 4.50 in (W x H), a 6.31 x 5.69 in door, an overall height of 7.88 in with the mounting feet and an overall depth of 4.60 in. Easily removed knockouts on the bottom (0.88, 1.13 and 1.38 in diameters on the drawing) simplify conduit entry, and panel studs accept optional inner panel N1JP66 (4.25 x 4.25 in).

The C3R664HCR carries UL-50 Type 3R (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 3R (CSA LL21312) listings, complies with NEMA Type 3R and IEC 60529 IP24, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg); it is packaged in a box.
