Hammond C3R121210HCR 12x12x10 in Type 3R Hinged Junction Box

The C3R121210HCR is a Type 3R painted galvanized steel junction box from the C3R HCR SM Series, measuring 12 in x 12 in x 10 in (305 mm x 305 mm x 254 mm). Designed for use as a wiring/junction box, it provides protection against rain, sleet, snow and dripping water, suiting electricians and installers who need a small hinged outdoor box for splices and terminations.

It is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge galvanized steel with a drip-shield top and seam-free sides, front and back. The door rides on a galvanized steel hinge with a stainless steel pin and closes with a zinc-plated draw pull catch that has provisions for padlocking, so the cover opens without removing screws. Enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured.

At 10 in deep it is the deepest size in the C3R HCR SM ordering table, for devices or wire bundles that need more depth than the 6 in deep 12 x 12 in model. The drawing shows a door opening of 10.83 x 10.50 in (W x H), a 12.31 x 11.69 in door, an overall height of 13.88 in with the mounting feet and an overall depth of 10.60 in. Easily removed knockouts on the bottom (0.88, 1.13 and 1.38 in diameters on the drawing) simplify conduit entry, and panel studs accept optional inner panel N1JP1212 (10.25 x 10.25 in).
