Hammond C3R18186ESCNK 18x18x6 NEMA 3R Galvanized Steel Screw Cover J-Box

The C3R18186ESCNK is a NEMA Type 3R painted galvanized steel junction box with a screw cover and no knockouts, measuring 18 in x 18 in x 6 in (457 mm x 457 mm x 152 mm) H x W x D. It is designed for use as a wiring/junction box and provides protection against rain, sleet, snow and dripping water, so electricians and contractors can use it for outdoor splices, pull points and terminations.

The box is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge galvanized steel, with a drip-shield top and seam-free sides, front and back. A slip-on removable cover is fastened with plated steel screws, oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured, and a grounding kit is provided. Enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. Because the box has no knockouts, conduit entries can be placed where the job needs them.

External mounting feet handle installation. The part drawing shows an overall height of 19.50 in, a cover measuring 18.41 in square, a door opening of 16.75 x 16.75 in and 16.75 x 16.75 in of clear space available on the cover, with an overall depth of 6.44 in. The 18 x 18 x 6 in size is offered in a single 6 in depth, sitting between the 16 in and 24 in square models of the series.
