Hammond C2RR197031BK1 40U Welded Rack Cabinet, 31.5 in Deep, Black

The C2RR197031BK1 is a 40U welded steel rack cabinet from the C2RR Rapid Rack series, built for general-purpose equipment installations that need strength, durability and simple deployment. It measures 23.00 in (584 mm) wide and 31.50 in (800 mm) deep, making it a good fit for AV integrators, test and measurement labs, telecom rooms and industrial automation panels where equipment is fixed-mounted rather than mounted on sliding server rails.

Construction is a 14-gauge welded steel frame with 12-gauge reinforced corner brackets and 16-gauge doors and panels, giving the cabinet a 1500 lb load capacity. A C-channel strut design adds frame strength while allowing flexible rail positioning and equipment mounting. The cabinet is finished in RAL9005 Black textured powder coat, which is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant.

Overall height is 78.16 in (1985 mm) including the leveling feet, with 70.06 in (1780 mm) of usable mounting height, 19.00 in (483 mm) usable width and 29.50 in (749 mm) usable mounting depth. Two sets of infinitely adjustable, EIA-310 compliant 10-32 tapped combination mounting rails in 12-gauge steel are included, along with a starter pack of 10-32 mounting hardware (SCREW1032-25).

C2RR197031BK1 ships fully assembled, so no on-site assembly is required. It includes a flush-mounted solid locking door with quarter-turn lock that can be used front or rear, removable solid side panels with quarter-turn latches, and an interchangeable solid top panel that can be swapped for cable entry, ventilation or fan panels. The bottom is open for cable routing from below, and grounding studs on the frame, doors and panels support proper bonding.

Factory-installed nylon leveling feet (5/16-18 thread) stabilize the cabinet on uneven floors, with 1/4-20 threaded provisions for optional casters and 0.50 in (13 mm) lagging points for bolt-down. The cabinet is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America.
