Hammond BWK6A18 18 in 6 AWG Bonding Wire Kit, Dual-Hole Lugs

BWK6A18 is a rack and cabinet ground kit built around a single 18.00 in (457 mm) length of #6 AWG bonding wire. It is intended for IT, AV, electrical and facilities teams that need to bond racks, cabinets, frames and related metalwork together as part of a grounding and bonding scheme. The kit is supplied with mounting hardware and a stick-on grounding symbol for compliance.

The conductor is #6 AWG 266 strand copper, MTW/TEW UL1283 type, with green insulation and a yellow stripe for easy identification as a bonding conductor. Both ends are terminated with two-hole compression lugs. Each lug has two bolt holes measuring 0.281 in (7.14 mm) in diameter on 5/8 in (15.88 mm) centres, sized for 1/4 in stud terminations. The kit does not include quick-disconnecting terminals.

With an 18 in (457 mm) overall length, BWK6A18 suits shorter runs between adjacent bonding points, such as cabinet-to-frame or panel-to-busbar connections. Mounting hardware is included for fastening to either 1/4-20 or 10-32 studs, so the same kit can be used across common rack and cabinet grounding hardware. Lug body detail from the drawing includes a 1.632 in (41.45 mm) lug length, a 0.440 in (11.18 mm) lug pad width and 0.087 in (2.21 mm) material thickness.

The kit is constructed with UL Listed components, is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, and is TAA-compliant for GSA Schedule purchases. It is manufactured in North America, with a country of origin of CA and a shipping weight of 0.35 lbs (0.16 kg). One cable is included per BWK6A18 kit.
