The AHK3 is a Type 12 (N12) non-locking handle kit with a three point latch, for enclosures greater than 60". It is the long-rod version in the series, intended for tall 1418 Series single door enclosures that need secure latching along the full door height. It is designed for field installation and does not fit the 1418 J Series.
Included are a handle, a latch cam, latch rods and adjustable rod guides. The latch rod ends have rollers for easier door closing, and the non-locking handle rotates clockwise. All parts are plated or painted for corrosion resistance.
The manufacturer drawing shows an overall latch assembly of 80.41 in, with a 40.21 in typical dimension, compared with 45.16 in on the AHK2.
The adjustable rod guides let the long latch rods be positioned to suit the door, and the kit is designed for field installation on an enclosure already in place. At 80.41 in overall, it is the longest assembly in the series.
The AHK3 ships in a box at 5 lbs (2.27 kg) and is REACH and RoHS compliant. For doors less than 60" choose the AHK2; for key locking three point handles, see the AHKL series.
