  • Secondary current 300 mA CCS / 450 mA ICAS
  • 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary - selectable 117 or 234 VAC by lead connection
  • Runs full wave bridge or full wave C.T.
  • Enclosed construction with 4 hole chassis mount and minimum 6 in long leads
  • Class A insulation (105 degrees C); hi-pot tested at a minimum of twice secondary voltage
  • CSA certified (209651); RoHS and REACH compliant

The 715A is a 352 VA high voltage (plate) transformer from the 700 Series with a 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary and a 1,020V C.T. secondary, intended for builders and service technicians who need a centre-tapped plate supply. It is the dual-primary version of the 715, providing a 1,020V C.T. secondary rated 300 mA CCS from a 117 VAC or 234 VAC line.

The high voltage secondary is rated 300 mA under CCS (Continuous Commercial Service) and 450 mA under ICAS (Intermittent Commercial or Amateur Service); the 352 VA figure is a CCS rating. The transformer can be run full wave bridge or full wave C.T. For 117 VAC input, connect Blue to Black and Brown to White; for 234 VAC input, connect Brown to Black and apply input to Blue and White. A 115 VAC-only version is also listed as the 715.

Construction is enclosed, with a 4 hole chassis mount, minimum 6 in long leads and Class A insulation (105 degrees C). Units are hi-pot tested at a minimum of twice the secondary voltage and the series is CSA certified (209651). The 715A is RoHS and REACH compliant, with a series-table weight of 9 lbs and a shipping weight of 10.85 lbs (4.92 kg).
