Hammond 560L 150/600:5K/20K Ohm Broadcast Matching Transformer

The 560L is a broadcast quality PCB audio transformer that steps a 150/600 ohm primary up to a 5K/20K ohm secondary. It is listed for collector to line or matching applications, for designers bridging between low impedance lines and high impedance circuits on compact audio boards.

The 560 Series is built in a rugged black epoxy potted case with 9 pin connections (.025" square by 0.5" long) for P.C. board mounting. An electrostatic shield between primary and secondary is connected to the core and brought out to pin "SH", the construction is humbucking, and balanced split windings on both primary and secondary add circuit versatility; primaries and secondaries can also be reversed for impedance matching. Insertion loss is 1 dB maximum, and higher signal levels are possible with reduced low frequency performance.

The 560L is rated at 0 dbm across 30 Hz to 30 kHz, +/- 1.0 dB max at +0 dbm (no D.C. saturation). Typical values include 15.80 ohm primary and 336.0 ohm secondary DCR, 0.798 H primary and 24.50 H secondary inductance, 0.531 mH leakage inductance and 10.54 K / 288.0 K ohm impedance at 1 kHz. Its turns ratio is 5.774:1, dielectric strength 500 Vrms, and the epoxy is workable from -40 to 105°C.
