Hammond 2STFS747512S16 74x75x12 Slope Top 316 Stainless Freestanding Enclosure

The 2STFS747512S16 is a Type 4X two door freestanding enclosure in 316 stainless steel with a 20° sloped top that prevents water from resting on the roof. The 2STFS series is designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments in larger applications, making this 12 in deep model a fit for plant engineers and panel shops working in wet or corrosive areas.

Enclosure dimensions are H1 74.13 in (1883 mm), H2 79.49 in (2019 mm), 75.13 in W and 12.13 in D (308 mm); the long description lists it nominally as 74 x 75 x 12. Two door openings, each 32.81 in wide on the drawing, sit behind 34.45 in wide doors that offer 29.93 in of clear space. The formed 10 gauge steel inner panel measures 68.00 x 68.00 in (1727 x 1727 mm), is finished in white powder coating, and mounts on collar studs with panel supports; the center post is removable for easy panel installation.

The body is formed from 12 gauge stainless steel (the series specifies 316L for the 316 version) with smooth, continuously welded seams and a natural brushed finish. A flange trough collar around the door opening excludes liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the doors. The removable doors hang on bullet style, heavy duty lift off hinges and close with a heavy duty three point latching mechanism with roller ends, operated by stainless steel handles with padlock hasp. Heavy duty lifting eyes are anchored into reinforced top corners, and there is a provision for mounting fluorescent lighting, a literature pocket, and bonding and grounding studs for each door.

The 2STFS747512S16 is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA Type 3R, 12, 13, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, with appropriate components required to maintain these standards. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships on a skid at 1227 lbs (556.56 kg).
