Hammond 266V6B 126VA 6.3V CT / 3.15V @ 40A Filament Transformer

The 266V6B is a 126VA low voltage/filament power transformer rated 6.3V @ 20A with a center tap, or 3.15V @ 40A with its secondaries in parallel. It uses the 266 Series dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary and open style chassis mount construction.

With 40A available at 3.15V, the 266V6B serves high-current filament and very low voltage loads; its drawing lists mounting holes of 0.375 in (10 mm) width-wise and 0.203 in (5 mm) depth-wise and a weight of 6.4 lbs (2.9 kg).

Each unit has a dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary (wired in parallel for 117V, in series for 234V) and dual secondaries that can be used as a center tapped secondary, connected in parallel, or used individually. The 266V6B is designed for use with all windings engaged. Primary leads are Blk, Wht, Brn and Orn; secondary leads are Red, Blu, Gry and Yel, all at least 6" long.

Its drawing lists mounting holes of 0.375 in (10 mm) width-wise and 0.203 in (5 mm) depth-wise. Listed dimensions are A 3.13 in (80 mm), B 3.56 in (90 mm), C 3.81 in (97 mm), D 2.50 in (64 mm), E 76 mm. Unit weight is 6.4 lbs (2.9 kg), with a shipping weight of 6.4 lbs (2.90 kg).

Construction uses a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required, and Class B insulation (130 °C), while the unit is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design. It is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS, UL listed (# E207860) Type 3AH, CSA certified (209651), and RoHS and REACH compliant.
