Hammond 266S6 63VA 6.3V CT Filament Transformer, 20A Parallel

The 266S6 is a 63VA low voltage/filament transformer rated 6.3V @ 10A with a center tap, or 3.15V @ 20A with its secondaries in parallel. It shares the 266 Series dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary and open style chassis mount construction.

Compared with the 37.8VA 266PA6, the 266S6 raises the 6.3V rating to 10A and the 3.15V rating to 20A in a Style A body weighing 2.6 lbs (1.18 kg).

Each unit has a dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary (wired in parallel for 117V, in series for 234V) and dual secondaries that can be used as a center tapped secondary, connected in parallel, or used individually. The 266S6 is designed for use with all windings engaged. Primary leads are Blk, Wht, Brn and Orn; secondary leads are Red, Blu, Gry and Yel, all at least 6" long.

It uses Mounting Style A with a 0.19 in (5 mm) mounting hole width. Listed dimensions are A 4.00 in (102 mm), B 2.47 in (63 mm), C 2.62 in (67 mm), D 3.56 in (90 mm). Unit weight is 2.6 lbs (1.18 kg), with a shipping weight of 2.6 lbs (1.18 kg).

Construction uses a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required, and Class B insulation (130 °C), while the unit is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design. It is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS, UL listed (# E207860) Type 3AH, CSA certified (209651), and RoHS and REACH compliant.
