Hammond 266N12 50.4VA 12.6V CT Filament Transformer, 117/234V

The 266N12 is a 50.4VA low voltage/filament transformer that delivers 12.6V @ 4A with a center tap, or 6.3V @ 8A with its two secondaries in parallel. Its dual primary accepts 117 or 234 VAC at 50/60 Hz, and it mounts to a chassis as an open style unit.

The 12.6V and 6.3V outputs place the 266N12 in the Low Voltage/Filament 266 Series; paralleling the windings gives the full 8A at 6.3V.

Each unit has a dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary (wired in parallel for 117V, in series for 234V) and dual secondaries that can be used as a center tapped secondary, connected in parallel, or used individually. The 266N12 is designed for use with all windings engaged. Primary leads are Blk, Wht, Brn and Orn; secondary leads are Red, Blu, Gry and Yel, all at least 6" long.

It uses Mounting Style A with a 0.19 in (5 mm) mounting hole width. Listed dimensions are A 4.00 in (102 mm), B 2.40 in (61 mm), C 2.62 in (67 mm), D 3.56 in (90 mm). Unit weight is 2.69 lbs (1.22 kg), with a shipping weight of 2.69 lbs (1.22 kg).

Construction uses a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required, and Class B insulation (130 °C), while the unit is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design. It is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS, UL listed (# E207860) Type 3AH, CSA certified (209651), and RoHS and REACH compliant.
