Hammond 266M20 60VA 20V CT Dual-Secondary Chassis Transformer

The 266M20 is a 60VA low voltage power transformer for equipment builders who need a 20V center-tapped supply, or 10V at twice the current, from either a 117V or 234V line. It is an open style, chassis mount part from the 266 Series of dual primary, dual secondary transformers.

With its secondaries in series the 266M20 delivers 20V @ 3A with a center tap; paralleled, the same windings give 10V @ 6A. Both ratings add up to the full 60VA.

Each unit has a dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary (wired in parallel for 117V, in series for 234V) and dual secondaries that can be used as a center tapped secondary, connected in parallel, or used individually. The 266M20 is designed for use with all windings engaged. Primary leads are Blk, Wht, Brn and Orn; secondary leads are Red, Blu, Gry and Yel, all at least 6" long.

It uses Mounting Style A with a 0.19 in (5 mm) mounting hole width. Listed dimensions are A 4.03 in (102 mm), B 2.50 in (64 mm), C 2.63 in (67 mm), D 3.26 in (83 mm). Unit weight is 2.68 lbs (1.22 kg), with a shipping weight of 2.6 lbs (1.18 kg).

Construction uses a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required, and Class B insulation (130 °C), while the unit is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design. It is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS, UL listed (# E207860) Type 3AH, CSA certified (209651), and RoHS and REACH compliant.
