The 266GB6 is a 3.78 VA filament and low-voltage transformer rated 6.3 V at 0.6 A in series (center-tapped) or 3.15 V at 1.2 A in parallel. It gives technicians a 6.3 V filament winding with twice the current of the 266F6.
The primary accepts 117 or 234 VAC at 50/60 Hz; the 266 Series connection diagrams show the primaries wired in parallel for 117 VAC and in series for 234 VAC. The secondaries can be used as a center tapped secondary (6.3V@ 0.6A), parallel connected (3.15V @ 1.2A) or used individually, and the unit is designed for use with all windings engaged. Every unit is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS.
Construction is open style with minimum 6" long leads and a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required. Class B insulation (130 °C) is used for extra protection, and the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design.
It uses a 2.38 in (60 mm) frame and weighs 0.4 lb per the ordering table.
