The 266G20 is a 10 VA transformer rated 20 V at 0.5 A in series (center-tapped) or 10 V at 1 A in parallel, from a dual 117/234 VAC primary. It gives designers a 20 V or 10 V AC winding with more current than the 6 VA 266F20.
The primary accepts 117 or 234 VAC at 50/60 Hz; the 266 Series connection diagrams show the primaries wired in parallel for 117 VAC and in series for 234 VAC. The secondaries can be used as a center tapped secondary (20V @ 0.5A), parallel connected (10V @ 1A) or used individually, and the unit is designed for use with all windings engaged. Every unit is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS.
Construction is open style with minimum 6" long leads and a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required. Class B insulation (130 °C) is used for extra protection, and the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design.
It uses mounting style V and shares its 2.88 in (73 mm) frame with the 266G24.
