Hammond 266F12 3.78VA 12.6V/6.3V Filament Transformer

The 266F12 is a 3.78 VA transformer from the 266 low-voltage/filament family, rated 12.6 V at 0.3 A in series (center-tapped) or 6.3 V at 0.6 A in parallel. Its 12.6 V / 6.3 V output pairing suits filament and low-voltage circuits on a chassis fed from 117 or 234 VAC.

The primary accepts 117 or 234 VAC at 50/60 Hz; the 266 Series connection diagrams show the primaries wired in parallel for 117 VAC and in series for 234 VAC. The secondaries can be used as a center tapped secondary (12.6V @ 0.3A), parallel connected (6.3V @ 0.6A) or used individually, and the unit is designed for use with all windings engaged. Every unit is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS.

Construction is open style with minimum 6" long leads and a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required. Class B insulation (130 °C) is used for extra protection, and the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design.

Compared with the similar-sized 266F12B (12 V / 6 V), the 266F12 provides 12.6 V / 6.3 V outputs.
