Hammond 265X6 158 VA 6.3V C.T. 25A Filament Transformer

The 265X6 is a high-current filament and low-voltage transformer rated 158 VA, delivering 6.3 V center-tapped at 25 A from a dual 117/234 VAC primary. It is aimed at equipment builders and repair technicians who need a heavy-current 6.3 V winding in an open-frame, chassis-mount package.

Within the 265 Series single-secondary table, the 265X6 is the highest-current 6.3 V C.T. model listed, above the 16 A 265U6 and 20 A 265V6. The primary is a 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz dual primary, so the transformer can be applied to equipment running on either line voltage. The secondary is rated 6.3 C.T. at 25 A RMS, giving a center-tapped 6.3 V winding for heavy filament or low-voltage loads.

Construction is open style on a 4 hole frame for chassis mounting, with minimum 6" long leads or copper tabs with holes. A dual bobbin design means no electrostatic shield is required, and Class B insulation (130 °C) is used. Units are hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS.
