Hammond 194G 3H 250mA Power Supply Choke for Plexi Amplifiers

The 194G is a 3 H power supply choke for Marshall tube guitar amplifiers, rated for 250 ma. of D.C. current, the highest current rating in the 194 Series. It is listed for Marshall Plexi amplifiers and is intended for technicians and restorers replacing the supply choke in these models.

Inductance is 3 H with a +/-15% tolerance. For later Mark II and 800 series (50 and 100 Watt) models the series lists the 194F (5 H at 120 ma.) instead, and the 194C covers the pre-amp supply position of Plexi and JCM800 amplifiers.

Like every 194 Series choke, it was designed for drop in replacement of the original unit and physically designed to look similar to the original factory part where possible. Material and design specifications were kept as close as possible to the original to preserve the stock tone, and the unit is vacuum impregnated with polyurethane varnish for quiet and long life operation. Inductance is measured at the rated D.C. current, so the published value reflects real operating conditions.
