Hammond 170SE 50VA Enclosed Autotransformer, 115/230VAC Hard Wired

The 170SE is a 50VA enclosed, hard wired autotransformer for electricians, facilities teams and OEM engineers who need a voltage change between 115VAC and 230VAC. It steps down from 230VAC to 115VAC or steps up from 115VAC to 230VAC, with 50 or 60 Hz operation for flexible worldwide applications.

As a single-winding design the 170SE does not provide isolation; it is intended for equipment that is already isolated where only the voltage needs to change. It does not convert line frequency.

At 50VA the 170SE is the smallest model in the 170E range and shares its overall dimensions with the 100VA 170AE, at a lighter 3.5 lbs. It is one of the CSA certified models (209651).
