The 168C is a 350VA hard wired autotransformer from the 168 Series, built for manual line voltage adjustment of electronic equipment or small appliance operation from a 115VAC input. It is a 350VA step up from the 168B, giving more headroom for electronic equipment or small appliance loads.
It uses a single winding, so it does not provide isolation; it is meant for use where equipment is already isolated and only a voltage change is required. The input is 115VAC at 50 or 60 Hz for flexible world wide applications, and output taps are provided at 85, 95, 105, 110, 115 and 125VAC. These units do NOT convert line frequency. With taps running from 85VAC up to 125VAC, the 168C can bring an output below or above the 115VAC input, and its 350VA capacity sets the load it can handle on any tap.
Connection is by flexible leads, 8" minimum length. Overall dimensions for the 168C are A 3.13 in (80 mm), B 4.00 in (102 mm), C 3.80 in (97 mm), D 2.50 in (64 mm) and E 2.70 in (69 mm), with a listed weight of 6.5 lbs; the part page gives a shipping weight of 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
