The 168B is a 200VA hard wired autotransformer from the 168 Series, built for manual line voltage adjustment of electronic equipment or small appliance operation from a 115VAC input. It is the smallest model in the 168 Series at 200VA, suited to a single piece of electronic equipment or a small appliance.
It uses a single winding, so it does not provide isolation; it is meant for use where equipment is already isolated and only a voltage change is required. The input is 115VAC at 50 or 60 Hz for flexible world wide applications, and output taps are provided at 85, 95, 105, 110, 115 and 125VAC. These units do NOT convert line frequency. With taps running from 85VAC up to 125VAC, the 168B can bring an output below or above the 115VAC input, and its 200VA capacity sets the load it can handle on any tap.
