The 167J80 is an 80 VA enclosed chassis mount power transformer with a 115 VAC, 60 Hz primary and an 80 V centre-tapped secondary rated 1 A. It serves higher-voltage rectified supplies and isolated AC rails in amplifiers, instruments and OEM control equipment.
It follows the 167 Series construction: an enclosed housing, a dual bobbin design that needs no electrostatic shield, Class B insulation rated 130 °C, and a hi-pot test of 2,000V RMS. All secondaries in the series are centre tapped, and leads are a minimum of 6 in long. The 80 V C.T. winding gives two 40 V halves about the centre tap, at twice the current of the 167G80.
