Hammond 166E6 0.95VA 6.3V Center-Tapped Transformer, 150mA

The 166E6 is a 0.95 VA filament-class transformer listed as POWER TX 115VAC - 6.3V@.15A: a 115 V, 60 Hz single primary feeding a 6.3 V C.T. secondary rated 0.15 A. It suits small 6.3 V indicator, filament and low-voltage circuits.

As a 166 Series part it uses an economical single-primary design, an open-style channel bracket for two-hole chassis mounting, and minimum 6 in long leads. The dual bobbin construction means no electrostatic shield is required. Windings use Class B insulation (130 degrees C) for extra protection, although the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 degrees C) design, and each unit is Hi-Pot tested at 2,000 V RMS. The 166E6 drawing shows black primary leads and green secondary leads with a green/yellow lead on the secondary side.

The 166E6 is one of the smallest 166 frames at 2.06 in (52.3 mm) by 1.25 in (31.8 mm) by 1.19 in (30.2 mm), with 1.75 in (44.5 mm) hole-to-hole mounting and 0.187 in (4.7 mm) holes. It ships at 0.3 lbs (0.14 kg).
