Hammond 166E36 5.4VA 36V Center-Tapped Transformer, 150mA

The 166E36 is a 5.4 VA low-voltage transformer delivering 36 V C.T. at 0.15 A from a 115 V, 60 Hz single primary. It fits designs that need a 36 V class winding at modest current in a compact open frame.

As a 166 Series part it uses an economical single-primary design, an open-style channel bracket for two-hole chassis mounting, and minimum 6 in long leads. The dual bobbin construction means no electrostatic shield is required. Windings use Class B insulation (130 degrees C) for extra protection, although the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 degrees C) design, and each unit is Hi-Pot tested at 2,000 V RMS. The 166E36 drawing shows black primary leads and green secondary leads with a green/yellow lead on the secondary side.

The 166E36 measures 2.38 in (60.5 mm) by 1.5 in (38.1 mm) by 1.38 in (35.1 mm) overall, with 2 in (50.8 mm) hole-to-hole mounting and 0.187 in (4.7 mm) holes. It ships at 0.5 lbs (0.23 kg).
