1598FSGYPBK pairs a light gray general purpose ABS clam shell body with black plastic end panels, giving a two-tone, all-plastic desktop housing for printed circuit boards. It is a practical choice for product developers and OEMs who want the slim F-size 1598 case without metal front and rear panels.
The case is nominally 9.8 in x 6.3 in x 1.6 in (249 mm x 160 mm x 41 mm); the drawing shows 249.70 mm x 159.25 mm x 40.90 mm overall and an inner box of 239.35 x 150.21 x 33.70 mm. Front and rear panels are 151.38 mm x 35.00 mm, with a 146.15 mm x 32.70 mm viewing area for controls and connectors. The shipping weight is 0.86 lbs (0.39 kg).

As a general purpose part it carries a UL94 HB flame rating and closes with self tapping screws into plastic standoffs, so it is not recommended for repeated assembly and disassembly. Replacement #4 x 5/8" (15.9 mm) screws are 1591TS100 and spare black plastic panels are 1598PLFBK. The assembly includes the top and bottom cover, two cover screws and four rubber feet.
The 1598FSGYPBK is designed to meet IP54 and is RoHS and REACH compliant. An aluminum-panel version of the same case is 1598FSGY.
