Hammond 1597D4MPH DIN 4 Flat Top Cover, Gray PC-ABS

The 1597D4MPH is a flat, gray Italtronic top cover for DIN 4 enclosures in the 1597DM Series of DIN rail mounted enclosures. Its short description, "D4 TOP PANEL FLAT, CLIPS", identifies it as the flat clip-in top panel. The DIN 4 drawing shows it on the grey Module 4 enclosure 1597DIN4MH53 and marks the top cover as not included with that enclosure.

It is PC-ABS with a UL94 V-0 flame rating, the series material for gray accessories. The cover measures 2.63 in x 1.65 in x 0.09 in (67 mm x 42 mm x 2 mm), ships at 0.01 lbs (0.00 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

DIN 4 has the widest choice of top covers in the range. Besides the 1597D4MPH, the options are a clear flat cover (1597D4MPHTPC), gray and clear covers with inlay (1597D4MPRH, 1597D4MPRHTPC) and a clear hinged cover (1597D4MPHGTPC). The purchased enclosure includes base, cover and DIN clip, with cover and base in PPO. Hammond notes that some accessories are not compatible with all enclosures in a DIN size group, so confirm fit on the enclosure drawing.

The cover suits panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers housing PCBs, terminal blocks and other DIN rail electronics. Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic, so check the manufacturer's Chemical Resistance Statement before using solvents, thread-locking compounds or cutting fluids near the part.
