The 1595CGY is the light gray version of the compact 1595C plastic console enclosure. With its sloping, recessed front panel, it is a desktop electronic instrument enclosure ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards, so it fits projects such as control boxes, readout displays, keypads and small bench instruments where the operator views the front panel from above.
The housing is a two piece molding in flame retardant ABS plastic rated UL94 V-0, with an IP rating of IP54 listed on the part page. The front is a 0.04 in (1.01 mm) aluminum panel with paper on one side, fixed into the sloping face by four M3 x 0.5 x 8 mm (0.31 in) Phillips pan head screws that thread into integral brass bushings.
Overall size is 6.34 x 3.78 x 2.28 in (161 x 96 x 58 mm): 161 mm wide, 96 mm long and 58 mm deep at the back of the console per the ordering table. Boards up to 85.65 mm long by 152.84 mm wide can be fitted, with integral card guides for 1.5 mm (0.062 in) P.C. cards and 0.20 in diameter standoff bosses in the base for other subassemblies.
