The 1595CBK is a black desktop console enclosure with a sloping front, the smaller of the two sizes in the 1595 series. It is designed as a desktop electronic instrument enclosure and is ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards, making it a practical choice for engineers building control panels, test instruments, display or interface units that sit on a bench or desk.
The two piece case is molded from flame retardant ABS plastic with a UL flammability rating of 94V-0, and the part page lists an IP rating of IP54. A 0.04 in (1.01 mm) thick aluminum panel, supplied with paper on one side, sits recessed into the sloping front and is held by four M3 x 0.5 x 8 mm (0.31 in) Phillips pan head screws threaded into integral brass bushings, giving you a flat metal surface to drill for switches, displays and indicators.

Recommended torque is 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m) for machine screws and 43-50 ozf.in (30-35 cN.m) for self-tapping screws. Replacement screws are listed as 1591MM100. The 1595CBK is REACH and RoHS compliant, and a light gray version is offered as 1595CGY.
