Hammond 1594RFICBK 107 x 66 mm EMI/RFI Shielded Black Plastic Enclosure

The 1594RFICBK is the mid-size enclosure in the 1594RFI thick-wall range, a black plastic box that shields its contents from EMI/RFI because the plastic itself is conductive. It is intended for engineers and integrators who want the look and handling of a plastic enclosure around a circuit that needs shielding, in a 107 x 66 mm footprint.

The body is molded from a conductive compound of stainless steel fibers and flame retardant ABS plastic, rated UL94 V-0. Series data gives an average wall thickness of 0.13 in (3.3 mm), with 3.10 mm shown on the drawing, and the surface is a matte textured black. The material is brittle, similar to phenolic, and not for high impact use.
