Hammond 1594CWGY 106mm Water-Tight Light Gray Abs Pcb Enclosure

The 1594CWGY is the light gray, water-tight version of the C size in the 1594 Heavy Duty ABS Enclosures series. It is a rugged electronic instrument enclosure intended for mounting printed circuit boards, suited to OEM engineers and integrators who need a compact sealed housing for control electronics, sensors or interface boards.

The box and lid are molded in flame retardant ABS plastic carrying a UL94 V-0 flame rating, with a heavy duty thick-wall design (series average wall thickness 0.13 in / 3.3 mm; the part drawing shows 3.10 mm average) and a matte textured light gray finish. The part page lists an IP65 rating; the series literature states that water-tight versions have been tested to and meet IP66.

Listed size is 4.19 in x 2.6 in x 1.77 in (106 mm x 66 mm x 45 mm), with the series ordering table giving 106.5 x 66 x 45 mm. The drawing shows a narrowest inside dimension of 56.67 mm [2.231 in] and an inner box height of 39.60 mm [1.559 in], which sets the usable board envelope.

The 1594CWGY can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in STEP or IGES. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.25 lbs (0.11 kg). Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic, so check compatibility before using solvents, thread lockers or cutting fluids.
