Hammond 1593TALTBU 112mm Translucent Blue Handheld Case with Battery Door

The 1593TALTBU is the 112 mm long, 21 mm deep member of the 1593AL hand held instrument enclosure family, molded in translucent blue ABS plastic. Designers who need more board length than the 92 mm 1593S body in the same slim 21 mm profile use this size for hand held testers, controllers and data devices that run from an internal battery behind a snap-on door.

The body is general purpose ABS (UL94 HB) with a satin texture, shaped to fit comfortably into the hand, with a recessed top for a membrane display or keypad. Lap joint construction protects against dust accumulation and splashing water. The halves are secured with self tapping screws; this translucent blue version includes black screws. The battery compartment uses the long life "three snap" door.

Nominal size is 4.4 in x 2.6 in x 0.83 in (112 mm x 66 mm x 21 mm); the drawing shows 112.00 mm [4.41 in] long, 66.50 mm [2.62 in] wide and 21.00 mm [0.83 in] high overall. Inside you get 68.43 mm [2.69 in] of length, 60.79 mm [2.39 in] of width and 14.80 mm [0.58 in] of height, and the top inlay measures 100.00 mm [3.94 in] x 55.00 mm [2.17 in] at 1.00 mm [0.04 in] deep for a label or keypad overlay. The aluminum panel is 1.63 mm [0.06 in] thick.

The purchased assembly includes top and bottom cover, 1 flat aluminum panel for the front, a battery door and 4 cover screws. Board mounting bosses accept #4 self-tapping screws (1593ATS50, #4 x 1/4", pack of 50); the printed circuit board is not supplied. Recommended cover screw torque is 57 lbf-in (40 cN-m). Replacement #4 x 5/8" self-tapping cover screws come as 1593MS100 (silver) or 1593MS100BK (black), aluminum panels as 1593SAL10 (pack of 10), infrared panels as 1593SIR10, and a nylon belt clip as 1599CLIP (black) or 1599CLIPGY (grey). The enclosure is RoHS and REACH compliant and can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing.
