The 1593LGY is the light grey version of the 1593L handheld instrument enclosure, an ABS case with two removable end panels for designers who want a comfortable hand-held form around a mid-size printed circuit board.
It is molded in general purpose ABS with a satin texture, carries a UL94 HB flame rating and is designed to meet IP54. Grey enclosures come with nickel finish screws; the 1593LGY assembly contains the top and bottom cover, four plastic end panels (two flat, two contoured to the case profile) and four cover screws.
The series table sizes the 1593L at 92 x 66 x 28 mm (3.62 x 2.60 x 1.10 in), and the drawing gives 92.22 x 66.22 x 28.00 mm overall. Note that the part page for the 1593LGY lists 3.6 x 2.26 x 1.1 in (91 x 57 x 28 mm). Inside, the drawing shows 84.37 mm of length, 59.39 mm of width and 22.00 mm of height, and the maximum recommended board is 82.66 x 56.61 mm on #4 self-tapping screw bosses.
The top has an 80.00 x 55.00 mm recess, 1.00 mm deep, for a membrane keypad. Accessories include 1593PIR10 infrared panels, 1593PAL10 aluminum panels, the 1593LPCB board and the 1599CLIPGY grey belt clip. Recommended torque is 40 cN-m for cover screws and 20-30 cN-m for internal screws. The enclosure is RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, and weighs 0.13 lbs (0.06 kg).
