Hammond 1593LALBK 92x66mm Black Handheld ABS Enclosure, IP54

The 1593LALBK is a black 1593L handheld enclosure from the 1593AL series: an ergonomic ABS plastic case with aluminum panels at both ends, designed for mounting printed circuit boards in portable instruments, meters and control pendants.

The part page lists a nominal size of 3.6 x 2.6 x 1.1 in (91 x 66 x 28 mm); the drawing shows 92.22 x 66.22 x 28.00 mm (3.63 x 2.61 x 1.10 in) overall. The interior measures 81.87 mm long, 59.39 mm wide and 22.00 mm high, and the recessed top offers an 80.00 x 55.00 mm inlay, 1.00 mm deep, for a membrane overlay or keypad.

The 1593LALBK has no battery door and is rated IP54, with lap joint construction that protects against dust accumulation and splashing water. Two removable flat aluminum panels, 1.63 mm thick, close the front and rear. The covers are held with four #4 self-tapping cover screws in a black finish; the recommended torque is 57 lbf-in (40 cN-m).
