Hammond 1593KBK Compact Black Handheld Enclosure, 66 x 67 mm

The 1593KBK is the black, compact square member of the 1593 handheld instrument family: an ABS enclosure with two removable end panels, sized for small PCB-based devices and ergonomically designed for a comfortable fit in the hand. It is molded in general purpose black ABS with a satin texture, rated UL94 HB and designed to meet IP54 as a version without a battery door.

The series table gives 66 mm long, 67 mm wide and 28 mm deep (2.60 x 2.64 x 1.10 in); the part page lists a nominal 2.6 x 2.6 x 1.1 in (66 x 66 x 28 mm), and the drawing shows 67.22 x 66.22 x 28.00 mm overall. Inside there is 58.66 mm of length, 59.39 mm of width and 22.00 mm of height, with a maximum recommended PCB of 56.61 x 57.66 mm on #4 self-tapping screw bosses.

Each 1593KBK assembly includes the top and bottom cover, four plastic end panels (two flat, two contoured to match the case profile) and two black finish cover screws. The top is recessed 1.00 mm over a 55.00 x 55.00 mm area for a membrane display or keypad.

Size K shares its end panels with the 1593P family: 1593PIR10 infrared and 1593PAL10 aluminum panels fit, as do the 1593PL1 flat and 1593PL2 contoured replacements. A matching 1593KPCB prototyping board is listed (enclosure sold separately). The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, and ships at 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg).
