The 1593ARGY is the light gray version of the 1593AR hand held instrument enclosure. At 2.95 in x 2.91 in x 1.06 in (75 mm x 74 mm x 27 mm) it provides a small, ergonomically designed housing that sits comfortably in the hand, for engineers packaging a compact circuit board into a portable device.
It is molded from general purpose ABS with a satin texture, rated UL94 HB. With two removable end panels and no battery door, it is designed to meet IP54. The recessed top offers an inlay area of 68.69 mm x 66.69 mm with 0.80 mm depth for a membrane display or pad. The halves are secured with self-tapping screws; gray enclosures include nickel finish screws.
Inside you have 69.38 mm of length, 67.89 mm of width and 22.00 mm of height. The maximum recommended PCB is 67.50 mm x 68.50 mm (not supplied), and the board bosses accept #2.6 self-tapping screws such as SC519-50. Recommended torque is 40 cN-m [57 ozf-in] for cover screws and 20-30 cN-m for internal mounting screws.
The 1593ARGY is supplied as top and bottom cover, two flat front and rear panels, and two cover screws. Replacement flat or contoured panels, infrared panels (1593ARIR10), aluminum panels (1593ARAL10) and a gray nylon belt clip (1599CLIPGY) are available. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in shrink wrap.
