The 1591FGGY lets a 1591G or 1591GS enclosure be mounted to a wall or shelf using a light gray base flange. It is intended for electronics builders, OEM engineers and installers who need to surface-mount a small plastic enclosure cleanly. Compatible enclosure sizes are 1591G and 1591GS.
It is molded from ABS plastic in light gray with a satin texture finish; this gray part is listed with a UL94-HB flame rating. The flange measures 5.74 in (146 mm) long by 3.54 in (90 mm) wide. The part lists an IP54 rating. One flange is included.
The enclosure is glued to the flange with standard ABS cement, which is not included. The flange ends are raised on one side so the enclosure can be positioned easily while it is being glued. Once assembled, the unit is fixed through four molded countersunk holes, or strapped or hung with tie wraps through the oval hole in each side of the flange.
